How to reach mantua

By plane, the closest airport is located in Villafranca di Verona, 33 kilometers from Mantua, from where a bus leaves every 20 minutes for the Verona train station, then it continues towards the Gonzaga’s town.

Mantua is easily accessible by train from Verona (45 minutes) and Modena (55 minutes) because it lies on the Modena-Verona line, and also from Milan (2 hours). Furthermore, through the capital pass the following railway lines: Milan – Cremona, Suzzara – Ferrara, Pavia – Monselice – Padova, Vicenza.
The station is only a few minutes away from the historic center (on foot).

Mantova is reachable by car via the motorway A22 Modena-Brenner (the Mantua Nord exit is situated just 4 km from the city center, while the Mantua South exit is 11.5 kilometers away from the capital), the A4 Milan – Venice (Desenzano, Sirmione or Peschiera exits) and Verona South, Autostrada del Sole A1 motorway, exit Parma Est and Reggio Emilia.
